Instead of q-r as most cassette hubs on the market Octane One hub is equipped with longer axle and steel nuts to hold your wheel no matter what. Build on 2 high quality sealed bearings. Can be used with both standard MTB cassette or singlespeed conversion kit (cog from cassette + spacers). Axle is cut flush with the nuts for great look and safety reasons. We use 10t driver that allows to keep big strong bearings inside. The result in hub running smooth and no problems at all with the driver bearings. Steel axle is cut flush with nuts for clean look and safety reasons. Steel nuts give extra strength and clamping force for securing your wheel in horizontal dropouts.
